Peptide Ligation

Harm-Anton Klok

Peptide ligation involves regiospecific coupling of unprotected peptide segments in aqueous solution. The concept of peptide ligation is outlined in Scheme B.26.1. It consists of two steps, a chemoselective capture reaction and an intramolecular acyl rearrangement [1]. Chemoselective ligation requires a suitable combination of electrophilic and nucleophilic groups

Scheme B.26.1.
