Diagnosis

The diagnosis of glucagonoma is made by three criteria: (i) an elevated serum glucagon level by radioimmunoassay; (ii) radiographically or histologically demonstrable neuroendocrine tumor; and (iii) characteristic clinical features (20). Other clinical features suggestive of glucagonoma include diabetes, weight loss, anemia, stomatitis, glossitis, dystrophic nails, and alopecia.
