Stroke the inner upper aspect of the thigh with a pin or pencil. The stimulus is of the same quality as was used to elicit
the abdominal reflexes. A response is elevation of the testicle (not the scrotum) on the same side.
The reflex will be abolished with segmental lesions of the first and second lumbar roots or cord segments and, like the abdominal reflex, in lesions of the corticospinal tract.
